Texel sheep are renowned for their versatility and high-quality wool. They are robust and resilient to the windy climate of our Wadden Islands. The wool is spun by Sauerland Wolle in Germany. This results in a classic round thread, perfect for textured or cable knitting.

This keeps the lines short and allows us to know exactly where the wool comes from and where it has been before it ends up in our shop. All Schaapjeswol is hand-dyed, sometimes with plants, but also with environmentally friendly dyes.
