Utrechtse Heuvelrug 135 - pimpernel

Our newest addition is a beautiful, thick yarn in a slightly softer Baggerbont colour. The variation is due to the annual colour variations of the Baggerbont sheep. The number of dark spots determines the natural, fluid colour. The wool itself feels soft, like an authentic Dutch wool, and the yarn is slightly less plied, creating a slightly rougher stitch pattern. This thickness is an excellent substitute for, for example, the repetitive Icelandic wool or the limited Scandinavian varieties. The dyed wool matches beautifully with the natural gray, as this forms the basis for the dyed colors.
